clamav software package provides anti-virus utility for Unix - command-line interface, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install clamav
clamav is installed in your system.
Make ensure the clamav package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep clamav *
You will get with clamav package name, version, architecture and description in a table
